This year’s ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) was held in Yokohama, Japan, from April 26 to May 1.
IML Dresden was on site with 6 people (Raimund Dachselt, Mats Ole Ellenberg, Katja Krug, Weizhou Luo, Julián Méndez, Marc Satkowski). The Lab was involved in a total of three full papers, one of which is a journal paper (TOCHI). Furthermore, contributions were made to 4 workshops, which dealt with topics in mixed reality, AI, and affective interaction. In addition, Julián Méndez, as part of the dedicated student volunteer team, helped to ensure that the conference ran smoothly.

The prestigious CHI had 5675 participants this year, onsite and online (~500). There were 1249 conference full papers accepted (out of 5020 submitted, acceptance rate: 24.8%) and 63 journal papers invited for presentation. CHI thus continues the growth trend of recent years with these record numbers.

Below is more information on our team’s contributions to CHI, including access to documents, videos, and recorded presentations.
