Die diesjährige Ausgabe der ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, die weithin als die führende Konferenz im Bereich der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion gilt, fand vom 13. bis 17. April 2026 in Barcelona, Spanien, statt. Unter dem Motto „Creant el demà junts“ („Gemeinsam die Zukunft gestalten“) brachte die Konferenz Forscher, Designer und Fachleute aus aller Welt zusammen. Sechs Mitglieder des IML-Teams (Raimund Dachselt, Mats Ole Ellenberg, Julian Baader Katja Krug, Susmita Khadse, Weizhou Luo) nahmen an der Konferenz teil und trugen zwei Full Papers, einen Beitrag zum Student Mentoring Program und vier Workshop-Beiträge bei.


Darüber hinaus fungierte Raimund Dachselt als Session Chair, Katja Krug nahm am Student Mentoring Program teil, und Mats Ole Ellenberg unterstützte als Student Volunteer und trug so zum Erfolg der Konferenz bei.

Die renommierte CHI verzeichnete in diesem Jahr 5254 Teilnehmende vor Ort in Barcelona. Insgesamt wurden 1702 Full Papers angenommen (von 6730 eingereichten Beiträgen, Annahmequote: 25,3 %) und 36 Journal Papers zur Präsentation eingeladen. Mit diesen Rekordzahlen setzt die CHI ihren Wachstumstrend der letzten Jahre fort.
