Node-link diagrams are nowadays a popular tool to illustrate different data sets. Simple structure and methods of visualization provide the basis for a quick and effective data analysis. However, it is becoming more difficult due to the quick growth of data. Various crossings and overlaps of graph objects exacerbate the exploration of graphs in a serious way. The following bachelor thesis examines different approaches, that aim to improve the readability and analysis of graphs, and implements a chosen concept as an interactive graph lens. Approaches, that are based on simple interactions (zoom and pan) as well as solutions, that apply complex search and illustration algorithms belong to the examined concepts. This theses describes the implementation of motif simplification as a lens to provide better analysis and exploration of node-link diagrams.
