Time is an outstanding dimension. Its relevance and many data sources make time visualization an important field in information visualization. Semantic data have a strong reference to time, though because of their inherent graph structure they are often visualized as node-link diagrams. Time visualization and graph layout are well covered by research, but there are few concepts for combining both domains.
In this bachelor thesis, we develop a concept for combining time-related semantic data with interactive graph visualization. The prototype maps semantic data to a timeline and emphasizes their temporal relations and dimensions. Using multi-touch, the user is enabled to analyze the graph in overview and detail. The chosen hardware is a multi-touch tabletop.
