Am 12. Mai 2025 hat Patrick Reipschläger seine Dissertation erfolgreich verteidigt.
Mit seiner Dissertation „Augmented Displays – Combining Interactive Displays with Head-Mounted Augmented Reality“ stellt er eine neue Klasse von hybriden Benutzerschnittstellen (Hybrid User Interfaces, kurz HUIs) vor – sogenannte Augmented Displays.
Mit Augmented Displays werden interaktive Displays mit kopfgebundenen Augmented Reality Displays (AR HMDs) erweitert und kombiniert. Die Geräte werden in ein einzelnes, nahtloses System integriert, in welchem sie ihre individuellen Potentiale entfalten können.
Neben Prof. Dr.-Ing. Raimund Dachselt als 1. Gutachter und Doktorvater übernahm Prof. Dr. Harald Reiterer von der Universität Konstanz die Rolle des externen Gutachters für die Dissertation.
