We hope that at this time COVID-19
will not affect the feasibility of the course. Please note that all topics have been adapted to accommodate to the current situation and no lab access is needed at the start.
However, we will carefully evaluate the situation over time and will communicate any updates on this website and in the OPAL course.
It is absolutely clear for us that health and well being have priority over any course work.
- Please note: The semester regularly starts on April 6th. Presence lectures will take place from May 4th at the earliest. Since this course requires team work, it also includes virtual project work. More detailed information will follow.
- Course enrolment has started. It is only possible from March 24 to April 8 in Selma.
In this course a complex research-related project is being worked on, which requires competences from several areas of visual computing. The students solve in a group a complex, typically interdisciplinary task in the field of visual computing. In addition, the project requires literature research and the use of scientific information sources. Since the project is realised as a team, not only professional competence is deepened, but also extensive methodological and social skills in project management and teamwork are trained.
The enrolment for the course is organised online via Selma
Enrolment is open from Tuesday, March 24, 00:00
until Wednesday, April 8.
- Please enrol in time so that we can inform you about topic assignment, changes, and dates and provide material. Materials and up-to-date information can be found in the OPAL course. We will add you to the OPAL course after general enrolment.
- If you have not registered by April 8 you will not get access to the OPAL online course and cannot take part in the course!
We are planning to offer the following topics in this semester. Assignment to one of the topics will be done in the OPAL course after general enrolment has ended and will be done on a first come, first served basis. The topic descriptions linked below are password protected. You will get access to these slides in the OPAL course.
If you would like to read about the details of the topics before enrolment, please send your request via mail to Wolfgang Büschel to get access.
